Business Consulting, An Introduction!

Welcome to my blog. As a Business Development and Marketing specialist, I provide clients with a broad spectrum of services and assistance. I help clients gain Page Rank through the much thrown-about-phrase – “SEO”. But really, that’s just the beginning. My philosophy, and I think everyone’s philosophy should be, that everything is connected.

What does that mean? Well, in my experience, businesses regularly hire specialists in a specific field, with an incredible volume of knowledge in a very specialized area. The problem with this approach however, is that these specialists tend to have “blinkers” on. Perhaps a real-life recent example is in order:

Recently I had a conversation with a very well respected consultant to the coffee industry. In pitching my services, he had some stern words that I need to “clarify my focus and become an expert with industry leading knowledge on one specific part of the industry”. My reply was simple: “well, if a client sees the need to hire an industry leading consultant to aid them in one specific area of their business, then they see the need to improve their business. Now, explain to me how someone with intense knowledge in the area of cupping coffee for quality, is going to help you source, package, distribute, and market this improved product to a changing demographic while explaining the various options available to your business and the corresponding effects on the bottom line?”

The point is, EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED. You cannot separate one part of your business as “needing assistance” without it directly affecting several other parts of your business.

This is what I do. Seeing the big picture, whether you’re an online business, or a “bricks and mortar” store, seeing the big picture as a business consultant is integral to being able to identify points for improvement, making proper suggestions, and managing a project to completion.

Let’s chat…..
